Serving Estevan & Saskatchewan

Grace in Action — Our Community Commitment

At Amazing Grace Associated Ministries Inc., our faith has always moved us beyond the walls of our sanctuary and into the streets, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods of Estevan, Saskatchewan. We believe that authentic Christian ministry is inherently outward-facing — compelled by the example of Jesus to seek out the suffering, the marginalized, and the overlooked and to meet them with dignity, compassion, and practical care.

Our community outreach efforts encompass a wide range of programs and initiatives, from emergency food assistance to newcomer integration support, from hospital pastoral care to mental health awareness. Each program reflects our deep conviction that every person in Estevan deserves to be treated as a fully valued human being — beloved by God and worthy of our best effort to help them thrive.

Through the tireless work of our volunteer teams, the generosity of our ministry community, and strategic partnerships with other Estevan organizations, Amazing Grace Associated Ministries has quietly, consistently made a difference in our city for over two decades. We do not measure success by headlines or crowds but by lives touched, burdens lifted, and hope restored — one person at a time.

Our Initiatives

Outreach Programs

Six core initiatives extending the grace and love of God into every corner of the Estevan community.

🧺

Food Bank Partnership

We work hand-in-hand with local Estevan food banks to ensure that no family goes without nutritious food. Our monthly food hamper programs provide non-perishable groceries, fresh produce (when available), and household essentials to families referred through local social agencies and our own community network. Each hamper is packed with care and delivered or distributed with dignity — because we believe how we help matters as much as that we help.

🏠

Homeless & Vulnerable Support

Saskatchewan winters are harsh, and the need for warmth and shelter among the city's most vulnerable residents is urgent. Amazing Grace Ministries runs seasonal blanket and winter clothing drives, distributing coats, hats, gloves, socks, and essential personal care items to those experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Estevan. We also maintain relationships with local shelters and social services to connect people with longer-term support resources.

🏥

Hospital & Care Home Visits

Illness and aging can be profoundly isolating experiences. Our trained pastoral care team visits patients and long-term care residents at Estevan healthcare facilities on a regular basis, offering prayer, conversation, scripture reading, and the simple but powerful gift of compassionate presence. We serve people of all faiths and backgrounds, and we always follow the lead of those we visit regarding the nature and content of our care.

🏫

School Partnerships

We partner with local Estevan schools to provide character-building and values-based programs that complement academic education. From after-school programs that provide a safe, supervised environment for students, to anti-bullying workshops, to mentorship relationships between adults in our congregation and at-risk youth — our school partnership program reflects our belief that investing in young people is one of the most important things we can do for the future of Estevan.

🌍

Newcomer & Immigrant Welcome

Estevan is home to a growing community of newcomers and immigrants who bring rich cultural diversity and gifts to Saskatchewan. Amazing Grace Ministries is committed to welcoming and supporting newcomers through orientation assistance, language support, social integration events, and connections to community resources. We believe that diversity makes our community stronger, and we strive to be a genuinely welcoming presence for all who arrive in Estevan seeking a new home and a fresh start.

🧠

Mental Health Awareness

Mental health challenges touch every community, and Estevan is no exception. Amazing Grace Ministries addresses mental health through faith-based counseling referrals, peer support groups, and community awareness events that reduce stigma and connect people to professional help. We collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to ensure that the people we serve receive the full spectrum of care they need — both spiritual and clinical. Our approach honors the complexity of the human person: body, mind, and soul.
